MXTRMOM draws inspiration from their hometown of Houston, Texas, but also from Virginia, where they began their journey in music production.  Having always thought about music since beginning piano at age 6, MXTRMOM is excited by editing samples, crate digging for records, and using cartoons and familiar media to fill their beats. Although MXTRMOM only began producing music in March 2020, they have made up for any lost time by collaborating with multiple artists, completing Navie D's Better Beatmaker course, and winning numerous beat battles. They enjoy creating video loops to pair with sounds, as seen on their YouTube channel and IG page.
